Every enterprise agreement in the building, metal and civil construction industry approved by the Fair Work Commission during 2024–25, counted by nominal expiry date. More than half fall on two days in the same week of July 2027 — five years before the Games and inside the delivery decade. Counts only; no employer is named on this page.

An enterprise agreement does not stop operating on its nominal expiry date. Its terms continue until it is replaced, terminated or varied. What the date marks is the point from which the agreement becomes open to replacement, and from which protected industrial action may lawfully be taken in support of a new one.
So 1,392 agreements sharing two dates is not 1,392 agreements ending. It is 1,180 employers becoming simultaneously renegotiable in the same week.
Compiled from the Fair Work Commission's public document register, filtered to the Building, metal and civil construction industries facet with status Approved, lodgement window 1 Jan 2024 to 31 Dec 2025. The register renders 4,308 result rows for that filter; those collapse to 2,616 distinct agreement codes, because each agreement is rendered more than once. The figures here are the deduplicated counts.
This is a national register. It carries no state or locality field for agreements, so no Queensland subset is asserted on this page. It records employers and agreements, not employee numbers. And it covers only firms that hold a registered enterprise agreement, which is a subset of the industry rather than all of it.
This is a dated snapshot, not a live feed. It will be stated as refreshed only once it is running on a schedule.
